Is Kylian Mbappe gay? His sexuality and love life

Kylian Mbappe scored a hat trick in the final of the 2022 Qatar World Cup, but the heroic performance wasn’t enough to guide France to consecutive titles. Nevertheless, Mbappe played a starring role in arguably the most entertaining World Cup final in recent times.

Mbappe looked understandably dejected as he picked up the Golden Boot award for being the tournament’s top scorer. Given his other-worldly talent and tender years, Mbappe has a high chance of winning the World Cup for the second time in his career – and he’s already set his sights on the 2026 edition.

“We’ll be back,” Mbappe captioned a photo of himself walking past the trophy.

Kylian Mbappe is not gay. He’s not spoken about his sexuality, but his rumored romantic interests are all women.

Reports claim Mbappe is dating transgender model Ines Rau. The pair were linked after people spotted them getting cozy in Cannes in May 2022. Mbappe was photographed carrying Ines in his arms on the beach. Neither party has addressed the rumors.

The couple hasn’t appeared in public together again, but the reports of their alleged relationship persist.

Like Mbappe, Ines is a Paris native. She was the first transgender model to appear on Playboy’s front page as Playmate of the month. The magazine received widespread backlash for placing Ines on its cover. Cooper Hefner, Hugh Hefner’s son, defended the decision, tweeting:

“We should collectively be fighting for a more open world, not one that promotes hatred and a lack of acceptance.”

Mbappe hasn’t confirmed any relationship, but if the rumors are true, he seems to have an affinity for models.

In 2018, Mbappe reportedly dated Alicia Aylies, a former Miss France. The couple didn’t address the rumors and rarely appeared in public together. Consequently, speculation about the couple dating died down.

Mbappe was recently linked to Belgian model Rose Bertram, who’s five years his senior. Bertram previously dated Dutch footballer Gregory van der Wiel, with whom she welcomed one child.

Kylian hasn’t addressed relationship rumors but has publicized his revulsion for marriage. He reportedly told Tetu magazine, an LGBTQ+ media outlet:

“It’s [marriage] a word invented by men to control women. Marriage is a way to make women dependent on you. I’m not going to get married.”
