Who is Rudy Pankow dating? Here’s what we know

Rudy Pankow doesn’t share much with his character JJ Maybank from Netflix’s Outer Bank. JJ is portrayed as a fun-loving, erratic, and sometimes genius Pogue who cares more about his friends than others in Outer Banks. Rudy differs from JJ because the character knows his identity while Rudy is still trying to figure out who he is. 

However, they do share what seems like inactive love lives. JJ’s romantic side is yet to be explored in Outer Banks, and in real life, Rudy has kept a tight lid on his relationship status. 

Rudy Pankow prefers not to share much about his love life. 

In November 2020, however, he posted a romantic Instagram tribute to Elaine Siemek, the assistant to Outer Banks’ co-creator, Jonas Pate. 

“You give me butterflies everyday… literally,” Rudy wrote alongside photos of Elaine. 

It’s unclear whether Rudy and Elaine are still together as Rudy hasn’t posted Elaine again. We can’t get anything from Elaine’s Instagram as she keeps it private. 

In an April 2020 interview with Seventeen, Rudy talked about the importance of having meaningful relationships outside work. “If it’s cherishing your family time or being in a relationship at some point, there’s a balance to everything,” he said. 

As for JJ, Rudy won’t reveal whether we’ll see him in a relationship in the next season. Fans have been calling for a romance between JJ and Kiara, but Rudy won’t say whether we will see the pair together in the future. In an interview with, JJ teased:

“That’s all up to the writers. I’m an actor and I get to play the character and, when fans put other characters together, I think it’s all good fun. I think it’s for fun storytelling purposes. I think at this point just telling fans that all doors after season 2 are open. That’s the best way I can put it.”
